Florent Pagny: lots of projects in 2023
If we had said that the year 2023 would be the year of Florent Pagny, we would have found it hard to believe it. However, it is. More than a year and a half after the announcement of his cancer which had a recurrence, he was able to carry out several projects.
First, there was his autobiography released earlier this year. Co-written with Emmanuelle Cosso, the book Pagny by Florent made a splash when it came out. It is even one of the editorial successes of the year 2023.
Then, against all expectations, there is the covers album which will be released this Friday, September 1, 2023. In 2 Bisthe former coach of The Voice a invited several of his friends to form duets. Among them, we can cite Patrick Bruel, Matt Pokora, Zazie, Patrick Fiori and Christophe Maé.

His most surprising achievement is his tour which he started on June 30 in Nîmes. Even in remission, the artist managed to honor the appointments he gave to his fans in concert. Moreover, this tour was the subject of the documentary Florent Pagny, the Phoenix.
Indeed, his friend Michel Jankielewicz who has already produced the Florent Pagny, a free man followed his journey back to the stage. This documentary will be broadcast on TF1 on Friday September 1, 2023, at 11:40 p.m.

Florent Pagny’s treatment continues
As a reminder, it was on January 25, 2022 that Florent Pagny announced his lung cancer. A dark day for his fans who were waiting for him for his 60th anniversary tour. The singer unfortunately had to withdraw from the scene to follow his chemotherapy.
During the first 6 months of treatment, Azucena’s husband was still able to enjoy life. He was able to attend his daughter’s wedding in New York and return to Argentina, his second country. If the summer of 2022 gave him respite, Florent Pagny admitted to having stopped his immunotherapy treatment along the way.
This had a big consequence, because, according to him, this stop caused the recurrence of his cancer. In March, he had to deal with the reappearance of symptoms.
« Maybe if I had been in France, I wouldn’t have this ganglion that appears like that, and if I had followed the planned program, maybe… It’s a bit my fault », recognizes -he.
The screenplay served as a lesson for Florent Pagny. He has since followed his treatment as it should. In August, he told Télé 7 Jours that his treatment could take between 5 and 10 years.
The singer remains in a lucid state of mind
According to our colleagues from Closer, the state of health of the father of Inca and Ael “evolves neither for good nor for bad”. The stagnation of his health would perplex the professionals responsible for his heavy treatment. Which can be tiring, both morally and physically.
However, this is not what will discourage Florent Pagny. According to his friend Michel Jankielewicz, the singer has only one priority at the moment: to heal himself.
“After working so intensely this year, his priority now is to take care of himself, to look after himself,” he told our colleagues at Télé-Loisirs.
For this, Slimane’s great friend leaves France for Patagonia. However, he is not inactive in Argentina. The documentary filmmaker reveals that Florent Pagny is a farmer and does nothing halfway. However, he remains lucid regarding his illness.
“Florent understood now that it would take time,” concluded the producer.
