A year before his death, the comedian Coluche had an idea that changed French society as a whole. Faced with mass unemployment and the precariousness plaguing France, he founded the Restos du coeur in 1985. The actor announced the project on Europe 1.

The artist confides in his penniless childhood
Before finding fame, the rapper Soprano, originally from Marseille, experienced precariousness. In fact, his parents, who came from the Comoros, have serious financial difficulties. Soprano’s mother works as a housekeeper, and his father as a handyman on boats. In this context, endings of less could often prove difficult. Also, as a little boy, he had the opportunity to make several visits to the Restos du coeur.
Besides, Soprano is not an isolated case. Since its creation, the association has already distributed billions of meals and food parcels. A commitment that represents a lot for the most precarious households in France. And while inflation has been raging for several months, many people in need are likely to flock to the Restos du coeur centers. For her part, the star has fond memories of these distributions.

Soprano mobilizes in turn
